Beautiful & Ethereal
Yakso Waterfall:

I will never forget the first time I saw Yakso Waterfall.
Hiking down the trail toward the fall, the beautiful blue pool,
and a rainbow arching across the face of the
water. It was beautiful.

The trailhead for Yakso Waterfall is accessible at
the entrance to Lake in the Woods Campground. Like Wolf
Creek Waterfall, the hiking trail is accessed off of Little
River Road. The USFS rates the trail as more
difficult; it's 0.7 mile one way.

Forward ~ Hiking to beautiful,
Hemlock Waterfall.

Back ~ Hike to Grotto Waterfalls and
walk behind the falls.

Directions: Traveling on Hwy 138, turn south at milepost
marker 16 onto Little River Road, County Road 17, just west
of Glide, Oregon, follow the road for 25.8 miles. Little River
Road will turn into Forest Service Road 27 and 7 of these
miles are gravel. I haven't driven up here in awhile, but the forest service takes good care of the roads to these waterfalls, so I would expect a relatively easy drive despite the gravel.

The parking for Yakso Trailhead is at the entrance to
Lake in the Woods Campground. The trailhead, #1519,
can be found across Road 27 from the campground.
