The waterfalls on Steamboat Creek.

These waterfalls on Steamboat Creek, tributary to the North Umpqua River, are right off the road. Located a milepost
marker 38.5, turn north on Steamboat Road, keep an eye out when driving and, depending on the time of year, you'll see something
approximating the photograph here before you arrive at the actual waterfall. There's not much room for parking at the falls but a
little pull off. However, there is a campground nearby on Steamboat Road. Other camping facilities nearby: Canton Creek
Campground - turn left after crossing the bridge for Canton Creek. The turnoff is not far off the Umpqua Scenic Byway.
Follow the road until you see the sign for the campground. Another campground nearby, off of Hwy 138,
is Island Campground. It's a small, but nice, camping facility.

These waterfalls on Steamboat Creek are popular on hot days. It's great fun to
climb on the rocks, slide into the water; play and cool off.
