An unusual feature of geology results in colliding rivers at Glide, Oregon:
The Little River and the north Umpqua River meet head on.

Both the Umpqua River and the Little River are easily recognized in this photograph although that is not usually the case.
Because of the recent heavy rains, the little river is murky. Since this condition exists in the creeks that flow into the river, I
assume it's because of clear cut logging in the upper reaches of the Little River watershed. Regardless, the cause,
it's interesting to so graphically see the phenomenon.
