McCloud River Lower Falls,

at Fowler Campground off Hwy 89 in northern California.

Hiking the McCloud River Waterfalls:

None of the McCloud River waterfalls require much effort in a hike. In the past, Middle Falls could only be
reached by walking, but the FS constructed a parking lot above it in 2000. I'd never miss the opportunity to walk
along the river, but for those of you who feel otherwise, the fall can easily be accessed from the parking lot.
Also, you; can walk down to the waters edge at the Upper Fall. Some might call this a hike. Both the Upper
fall and the Lower Fall are short distances from their respective parking lots.

Protect our National Forests and Wilderness Areas. Leave NO Trace!
