Beautiful, Pristine Castle Lake,

west of Shasta City, California.

Castle Lake is located west of Mount Shasta City in northern California.
Exit I - 5 when you see the sign for Siskiyou Lake, take the turning to Siskiyou Lake,
the road is clearly marked for Castle Lake after that. We had no trouble finding it.

Castle Lake is the largest and deepest alpine lake in the area
offering water sports, picnicking, hiking and camping. Also, hike to the
pristine alpine lakes of Heart and Upper Castle.
