McArthur Burney Waterfall State Park in northern California offers Day Use: $5.00 fee per car, camping, hiking trails to obtain a better view of the waterfall and then a hike river side.

This is a beautiful waterfall as can be readily see from this photograph. The area, along with Mt Shasta, is surrounded with lore of mystery and magic, and Burney Falls has its share. Several people have claimed to see a beautiful fairy, sprite figure appear in the air between the two streams in the waterfall. Gilbert Williams represented this in one of his paintings. No matter what one may think about magic and mystery at McArthur Burney Waterfalls, the falls are beautiful and certainly worth $5.00 even if only to hike down for a better view.
