making itself known on the outskirts of Callahan, California.

The cabin marks a junction of sorts. Just a hop, skip and a jump from the eastern boundary of Callahan
proper, it is an approximate marker for the for the turnoff for the beautiful journey along the south fork of the Salmon River, and
the turnoff to Trinity Lake and Weaverville. Both are marvelous drives, but our route is west to Callahan, onto Etna, and
then the north fork of the Salmon River and Sawyers Bar. :-)
The Past is Present in Northern California.
Travel northern California. See the Marble Mountains, the Salmon Mountains, the beautiful Salmon River, Sawyers Bar, the best
living mining town, the magnificent Salmon River Gorge. Raft the river, try your hand at mining and/or fishing. Hike the Russian Wilderness
and/or the Marble Mountain wilderness in the beautiful Klamath National Forest. Or simply enjoy yourself sightseeing.
