Smith Rock in Spring Storming:

World renowned sightseeing, hiking, rock climbing and photography at Smith Rock State Park in central Oregon.

Smith Rock is composed of welded rhyolite tuff. Gray Butte, the smooth peak in the background, is composed
of basalt and rhyolite tuff deposited as an ash flow. The basalt is about 18 million years
old, the rhyolite is about 12 million years old.
