Pit River Waterfalls:

The falls are spectacular. What appear to be shrubs are trees. If you look closely, you can see the train trestle in the forefront.
Apparently the best way to view the falls is to climb down the steep canyon to the waterfall's base. We knew nothing of this when we
discovered these falls on a drive west on Hwy 299 from Surprise Valley, and were pressed for time. The falls are a little west of Fall
River Mills, just off the main highway. As I understand it the  hiking trail to the waterfall is a road
about .2 of a mile east of the overlook itself.

Forward ~ Heading west on Aden Pass on the Emigrant Scenic Byway.

Back ~ The south Warner Wilderness Area in northern California.
