Cedar Pass through the Warner Mountains:

We discovered Surprise Valley on a lark. When we crested at the summit both Brad & I
thought, what a wonderful surprise! - gm

This area offers much to recommend. High Desert bounded by the Warner Mountains on the west and Nevada
on the east. This is cattle country, in habited by a hardy breed who endure the bone chilling cold of winter and dry
desert heat of summer. It's tremendously beautiful, whether your looking east to rangeland or your eyes span the sky
bounding the slopes and spires of the Warner Mountains in California, or the wide open vistas of a star studded sky
at night. As a bit of information I found interesting, the Warner Mountains are a spur formed off the Cascades.
Nature never ceases to amaze - at least for me anyway.
