Vidae Waterfall is seasonal. You won't see much water
if any flowing later in the summer. The waterfall in this picture has the heaviest flow I've seen for this waterfall. The fall is
not far from the trailhead for Sun Notch, a lovely
hike to a marvelous viewpoint for the Phantom Ship.

inside the rim at Crater Lake.

 

The trail at Sun Notch is a short hike to the rim, and although Phantom Ship can be viewed on more than
one occasion by pulling off the road and getting out of the car, the vista from Sun Notch has its own
rewards, exceeding by far those obtained from exiting a car.
